Use & safety
Share thoughtfully. Use Dearly with care.
Dearly is intended for personal greetings and event invitations. These guidelines explain what belongs here and how to raise a concern. Updated 4 October 2026.
Use material you can share.
You remain responsible for your words and uploads. Use photos, recordings and music you created or have permission to distribute. A music subscription or a file on your phone does not by itself give permission to upload it to a website. Ask the people in a photo before sharing it, especially when a child is featured. The built-in Dearly melodies are available for these creations.
Keep the experience safe and respectful.
Do not use Dearly for harassment, threats, hate targeting a person or group, sexual content, exploitation, scams, impersonation, unlawful activity or violations of another person’s rights. Do not expose passwords, financial details, identity documents, medical records or someone else’s private information. Do not send repeated unwanted links or use a surprise to pressure someone to respond.
Understand your links.
A gift link can be forwarded and its content saved. It is not a secure vault. Keep the separate management link private because it gives editing and deletion access. Keep invitation details accurate and update guests directly if event plans change: an already downloaded calendar entry does not update itself.
Report a concern.
Use the contact form and choose “Report a creation”. Include the public gift link and a brief explanation of the concerning content. Do not include the management key. The operator can review reports and remove creations that violate these guidelines. There is no promise that every submission is reviewed immediately, and the form is not an emergency service.
A free service with practical limits.
There are no payments or subscriptions in this version. Service availability depends on hosting limits and maintenance. Keep original copies of photos and important messages; Dearly should not be your only archive. You can edit or delete your creation through the management page, and request help through the contact form.
